Donation collection for animals in care
The Sarnia & District Humane Society is collecting supplies during Catch The Ace to support animals in care, the foster program, and the Community Pet Pantry, with donations also shared with Caregivers of Petrolia Ferals. Volunteers will walk through the lines to collect kitten and cat food, kitten formula, puppy and dog food, treats, toys, leashes, and collars, and TJ's Furniture & Home Decor is providing a cube van to transport donations.

Pet food drive
The Sarnia & District Humane Society is partnering with Sarnia Legion Branch 62 for a pet food drive on Thursday, June 25, with all donated food collected at the Legion and brought to the Sarnia Humane Society for distribution to the shelter, Caregivers of Petrolia Ferals, and other rescue groups. TJ's Furniture & Home Decor donated a cube truck to help move items, and the drive takes place alongside the Legion's Catch the Ace event.

The Women's Interval Home of Sarnia-Lambton hosts the Purple Tee Classic at Kingswell Glen in Petrolia on Friday, June 26, 2026, featuring 18 holes, a power cart, food, prizes, and a $10,000 Hole in One contest. Dusty from Ironworks Health and Wellness Centre is running a Community Food Drive throughout June to support the Inn of the Good Shepherd in Sarnia-Lambton. The drive accepts non perishable food items and hygiene products, and Dusty and his team will pick up donations from your doorstep to make contributing simple.

Save Timmy bail fundraiser
The Sarnia & District Humane Society is running the Save Timmy bail fundraiser to get Timmy the T Rex out of the shelter by the end of June. Every $10 donated earns a raffle ticket for a prize package that includes a $100 Gas card from Insight Tattoo and gift cards from local eateries, and donations go via e transfer to accounts@sdhumane.ca with "Save Timmy" in the notes.

Summer Volunteer Training
The Centre is running a two evening Summer Volunteer Training on Monday, July 13 and Tuesday, July 14 from 5 to 7 PM, covering gender based violence and human trafficking.
